If you find someone who understands and cares about something as simple as your favorite color, then there's a higher chance that they will care about other larger things. Find someone who listens enough to understand why your favorite colors are your favorites and what stories or memories are tied to them. I've never understood the importance of someone understanding the small things until more recently and now I don't ever want to be with anyone who doesn't ask more in depth questions into why I am the way I am. Find someone who wants to understand the little things and I promise you it won't steer you into the wrong direction.

Pink; they will understand why pink reminds me of the cherry blossoms from my grandfather's orchard that I used to run through when I'd get into arguments with my parents and those same cherry blossoms were the tie to such a special time in my life as being Cherry Blossom Princess. They would understand why light pink reminds me of my cat's paws and little nose, which is one of my favorite things to wake up to every morning but especially on the weekends because I can lay in bed a little longer and appreciate the cuddles a little more. Pink because it means flowers and spring but also remembering that spring is my most hated season because of my allergies that I deny every year that I have but you still will smile and encourage me to go outside to enjoy the Vitamin D. Pink because the shade ranges between vibrant and subtle, the way I do based on my mood. Pink because that's the color your cheeks are when you're cold or the way my nose gets when I'm sick and you say I still look great.

Blue; they will find more meaning in blue because they know that any shade of blue has potential to be a color in the sky, which is my favorite thing to look at whether it's a sunny or cloudy day. And that would also mean they understand my love for the clouds and the sky and can never pass up the chance to take a picture of a cumulonimbus cloud. Blue because that would mean they would also know every time the two of us are near a mountainous terrain, I wouldn't be able to refrain from mentioning orographic lifting which is the most intricate process of the creation of clouds from mountains. They would understand that blue is more than just a mood or feeling but is also a season, winter which is my favorite because it means skiing and throwing myself into a pile of cold snow on a hike. You would tie the link between blue and smiles because I can't look at snow without squealing with happiness, anticipating the day ahead filled with laughs and joy. Smiles that remind me of you because if I am smiling next to you then I know you are smiling as well. Blue because it reminds me of the ocean, which is not my favorite biome but recognizing the various environmental processes that occur around the ocean are and that every time I'm near it I say 'Where the river meets the sea is an estuary'.

Yellow. The color of the sun which means we get to go out on the water and enjoy the warm summer day ahead. Understanding that yellow is special because it is the one color on the color pyramid that is unlike any other because it is the most unlikely to be confused with a blue or red hue. Yellow the color that even Coldplay distinguished as the color of being 'My yellow', someone who you would do anything for to see happy. Yellow; the color of Christmas lights of which you know Christmas is not my favorite holiday but you encourage me to enjoy it anyways because that means time with my family. They will connect yellow with my favorite flower, tulips because a yellow tulip is one of the most rare strains. Understanding that yellow is the color that we share, our favorite.

Green. The color of hiking, which is undeniably my favorite thing to do. Understanding that it's not the shade of olives or of Christmas, but the shade of moss that makes green my favorite. Emerald green, which is my favorite stone, reminding me of my grandmother and the love she and my grandfather had their whole lives. Green, the color that I think looks best on the both of us; of which I know you would agree. You would understand that green means flying; my favorite thing to do and look down on the rolling hills in Sonoma, my second home that I can no longer go to without troubling memories. Green because it means growth and change and the Pacific Northwest which is my favorite place in the U.S..
